Majors and Minor: Majors: Accounting & MIS Minor: Computer Science

It takes perseverance, drive and passion to rise above difficulties, and a long-term goal always serves as a light at the end of a seemingly never-ending tunnel. My goal is simple: intellectual enrichment and the use of my knowledge to help others in the field of business. To accomplish this, I am interested in obtaining a double major in the University of Iowa's nationally acclaimed accounting and management information systems (MIS) degrees. I intend to meet the 150 hour requirement for a Certified Public Accounting designation. In my experience as an information systems auditor, internal farm accountant, bank teller, administrative assistant, and freelance web designer, I have received a taste of business and am quite sure that accounting with a mixture of information technology will be a very challenging and rewarding career path for me to pursue. I hope to eventually work for one of the Midwest's top accounting or consulting firms.
